Research and Selection of LED Street Lamp Color Temperature
At present, the large-scale promotion of LED street lights is imminent, and color temperature (light color) has become the focus of attention in the industry. This speech analyzes the physiological and psychological properties of color temperature, explores its relationship with brightness and comfort, and proposes a color temperature range that is suitable for the current level of LED street lamp technology, combined with LED street lamp testing.
From the perspective of lighting, LED street lights mainly have four major issues: light efficiency, light distribution, light attenuation, and color temperature (light color). In recent years, LED street light technology has been rapidly changing, and its optical performance has improved rapidly. From the recent LED street light testing results we have organized, 6 out of the 27 LED street lights have a total lighting efficiency of over 70Lm/W, reaching 81.5Lm/W; The light distribution level has been greatly improved, and the uniformity has advantages compared to high-pressure sodium lamps; The problem of light attenuation has been significantly improved, and it is not inferior to other light sources.
In this context, the issue of color temperature has begun to surface and has become one of the main contradictions of LED street lights, becoming the focus of recent industry attention. Indeed, street lights are the "dimmers" of urban nights, and their color temperature determines the "background color" of the night, which is closely related to the daily lives of citizens. Therefore, the issue of LED street light color temperature needs to be urgently addressed before large-scale application, otherwise it may become a huge obstacle to promotion. At present, this situation has emerged in some cities and will be tested in more cities.
